Our Private charters depart from Portree’s pontoon and head out into the area of your choice. Our daily trips can be made private for your group and we can tailor it to your needs and places you would like to visit. For that perfect view of the Hebrides or a new place for you lunch, Raasay Distillery trip or even a spot of fishing! We have carried out a range of private charters over the years, from 8 hours of whale watching to island drops and pick ups. We’re only limited by your imagination and the weather.
Commercial work – we can cover film crews, passenger transfers, guard duties and even carry out small deck cargo transportation.
Fishing trips in the area – The west coast has a great catch. Skate, Ling, Pollock, Cod, Haddock, Mackerel amongst others. There’s a fishing experience for everyone.
WILDLIFE
Our interactions with wildlife on the trip are often plentiful, with the diverse ecology of Skye and the west coast of Scotland. We often see Minke Whales, Dolphins, Porpoises and even have sightings of leather back turtles and Humpback Whales! On occasion we have witnessed the west coast pod of Orcas! Our usual resident sea birds of Sea Eagles, Golden Eagles all breed in the area and we have two colonies of seals. With both common and grey seals in the area. Other wonderful wildlife we have depending on the time of year. You can see Fulmars, Gannets, Great Skuas, Cormorants, Atlantic Puffins and even Basking Sharks.

This trip has a capacity for 12 passengers, 8 passengers, if we go fishing, along with 1 tonne of deck cargo.

We do require guests come prepared with warm waterproof clothing and sturdy footwear. Also, recommend a camera and water for the day. We will monitor the weather and only run the trip if the skipper deems the conditions safe. We are in the Atlantic Ocean and we may encounter some bumps along the way, guests that may suffer from seasickness should come prepared. Timings are not exact and may vary slightly.
Terms and Conditions
If the weather is unsuitable for comfort and safety, we will sadly cancel the trip. We will also cancel the trip if we don’t reach the minimum number of bookings. In such events, passengers will be informed with as much notice as possible and where possible will be offered an alternative date or a full refund.
For guests wanting to cancel: Guests who cancel more than 24 hours before the departure will receive a full refund. 50% the evening before the departure day, minus the booking fee. No shows will still be charged.
