View the beautiful coast around the Isle of Skye and all the surrounding islands on this Inner Hebridean boat trip. Enjoy plenty of wildlife and the experience of being on our spacious, powerful, top-of-the-range vessel. We depart from Portree the capital on the Island and head out to sea from the pontoons at the historic pier. Port Righ in Gaelic means Kings Port. The town is around 200 years old and the harbour area being amongst the oldest parts of the town.
Our daily tour is 2 hours but can last a little longer depending on the wildlife. We try to take as many miles in as possible during the trip for the best experience. We try to reach different areas for different views, from the Cuillins in the south with small rocky islands which house seals and spectacular views to the largest landslide in Europe being the Trotternish peninsular. With The Old Man Of Storr, Kilt Rock and the wonderful Outer Hebrides, the views are inspiring as well as showing the harsh environment the island has. Around this area are the deeper water and stronger tidal streams which often provide a perfect area for whales, gannets, gulls, and dolphins to feed. Waterfalls are the added bonus to our typically wet climate and are often one of the highlights of our trips. Although we try our best to spot and search for wildlife and our trips are often full of wildlife, from time to time some days on the water are slower than others, please be mindful of this. Wildlife sadly isn’t always a guarantee.
The area of land is one of the most stunning points on Skye. You will not be disappointed with the sheer cliffs. The views onto Raasay, The Outer Hebrides and the Cuillin range are breathtaking. With being a sound with a small inlet this makes the area a great place for wildlife and much easier to spot than on the open seas. Brilliant for spending a couple of hours away from the busy parts of Skye and seeing the island from a different perspective, with wildlife, history and peaceful surroundings.

This Skye Hebridean wildlife boat trip has a capacity for 12 passengers. Please refer to our booking calendar for scheduled trips. If the date you would like is not available, then please get in contact. Parking is by the community centre, Bayfeild car park or the Portree square car park, we’re a short walk from any of these locations.
We require guests to come prepared with warm waterproof clothing and sturdy footwear. An extra layer is always a great idea. We recommend a camera, packed lunch/snacks and water for the day. We will monitor the weather and only run the trip if the skipper deems the conditions safe. However, we are in the Atlantic Ocean and may encounter some bumps along the way. Guests that may suffer from seasickness should come prepared. Times are not exact and may vary slightly.
Terms and Cancellation policy..
If the weather is unsuitable for comfort and safety, we will sadly cancel the trip. We will also cancel the trip if we don’t reach the minimum number of bookings. In such events, passengers will be informed with as much notice as possible and where possible will be offered an alternative date or a full refund.
For guests wanting to cancel: Guests who cancel more than 24 hours before the departure will receive a full refund. 50% the evening before the departure day, minus the booking fee. No shows will still be charged.
