Fishing Charters

Our fishing charters depart from Carbost pontoon and head out into the inner Hebridean sea. We will normally head for the Maidens (Idrigill point) for fishing in the shallow waters or alternatively up to Neist point, however this is over an hours sail away so does limit fishing time. Trips can be tailored to your needs and places you would like to fish.

With lots to catch from Skate, Ling, Pollock Cod, Haddock, Mackerel and spur dogs there’s a fish for everyone of experiance.

We do not currently provide fishing rods or gear, just the vessel and knowledge of the area we operate in. Currently this trip is or charters only. From 2025 we will offer the full experience with rods and tackle provided on a £PP basis.

Our interactions with wildlife on the trip are often plentiful, with the diverse ecology of Skye and the west coast of Scotland. we often see Minke Whales, Dolphins, Porpoises and even have sightings of leather back turtles! On occasion we have witnessed the west coast pod of Orcas! Our usual resident sea birds of Sea Eagles, Golden Eagles all breed in the area and we have two colonies of seals. With both common and grey seals in the area. Other wonderful wildlife we have depending on the time of year are: Fulmars, Gannets, Great Skua’s, Cormorants, Atlantic Puffins and even Baskin Sharks.

This trip has a capacity for 8 passengers, please refer to our booking calendar for scheduled trips, if the date you would like is not available then please get in contact and we could possibly organise a trip for you.

All our boat trips depart from the pontoon at Carbost – 200m past the Talisker distillery. Parking is available on site. We do require guests come prepared with warm waterproof clothing and sturdy footwear. A camera and water for the day is recommended. Whilst the weather will be monitored and we will only run the trip if the skipper deems the conditions safe. We are in the Atlantic Ocean and we may encounter some bumps along the way, guests that may suffer from seasickness should come prepared. Timings are not exact and may vary slightly.

Terms and Conditions..

In the event of the weather being unsuitable in the interests of comfort and safety, or the minimum number of bookings not being reached, the trip will sadly be canceled. For guests wanting to cancel: A full refund will be issued if the cancellation is more than 24 hours away from the nominated departure time. 50% the evening before the departure day, minus the booking fee. No shows will still be charged.
