This 2 hour trip takes you through stunning Loch Bracadale and into the start of the Hebridean sea, passing by Talisker point, located on the entrance of this large bay. Here we will often spot a resident pair of Sea Eagles perched on the cliff tops or swooping down or soaring high. We’ll then pass the uninhabited cliff lined island of Wiay and visit its sea cave and then on to the Macleod’s Maidens. These impressive sea stacks stand up to 65m tall & are home to a variety of sea birds, including cormorants, fulmars & often Sea eagles. In the summer months, we often see pods of Dolphins in and around Loch Bracadale chasing shoals of fish, with the occasion porpoise and minke whale.
After our stop at the Maidens, we make for some wildlife spotting in the Hebridean sea if the weather permits. If not on the day we make way for Tarner island, here we watch the local seals bask on the rocks & play in the shallows.
With being our most popular trip, we run this up to 3 times per day in the summer months. The perfect trip for the time and great for families outings, wildlife watching, and spotting some birds.
Please wear suitable warm clothing, we’re on the Atlantic ocean and it’s often a little chilly, even during summer days.
